Norfolk Christian charity links up with supermarket

A local Christian charity that supports children and young people aged from 5- 25 years has formed a food donations partnership with a supermarket in the Thorpe area of Norwich.
 


Equipping Nurturing Young People (ENYP) who are based in Norwich have agreed to collect the left over produce and bakery bread from Sainsbury's Pound Lane, in Thorpe St Andrew for the provision of the local young people they support.

ENYP was officially launched in September 2007 as a charity to oversee and develop youth work across the Norwich. ENYP focuses on the needs of children and young people in local communities. With the support of churches, schools, agencies and volunteers, ENYP provides a wide range of youth work activity in the area - in clubs, schools, and community projects.  They currently work with over 2,000 young people through delivery of 50 clubs and activities, and the majority of their work is based in the most deprived areas of Norwich.

ENYPapplesCFDanny Doran-Smith, the director of the charity said 'We are excited to be partnered with Sainsbury's, Pound Lane.  The donations of bread, fresh fruit and vegetables will benefit families, children and young people within the community that we support.’
