Growing South Norfolk church is on the move

CentralHallWymondham2012: A growing South Norfolk church is having a special service to celebrate its recent move to larger premises at Wymondham Central Hall, on Sunday February 26.

City Church Wymondham pastor, Barry Rooks, said: “We are very grateful to the United Reformed Church for allowing us to meet in Fairland Hall over the past few years. However as we grew steadily in 2011 it became apparent that we needed to look for larger premises. An opportunity arose to move to Central Hall and we have now been meeting there since January 15.

“Our heart is very much for the community of Wymondham and the surrounding villages and we would like to extend an invite to all local residents to come and celebrate this move with us.”

The move to Central Hall allows the congregation to remain centrally based while providing a larger hall for Sunday meetings and more rooms and facilities for the developing Sunday School and other activities.

CityChurchWymondhamLogoThe service starts at 10am in Central Hall and will conclude around 11.30 with light refreshments. All ages are welcome and there will be a programme for children in the Tiffey Room during part of the service.

City Church organises the Wymondham Fun Day, which is now in its tenth year and due to take place on Sunday July 1, 11.30am at Ketts Park

Other City Church projects include ‘Lifted’, a support group for Mums (or Dads) with children under the age of two and ‘Healing on the Streets’, a joint Church initiative which offers prayer to passers-by at the Market Cross on the second Saturday of each month from 10.30am.

If you would like any further information about the service or any of the projects we currently run please contact Barry Rooks on 07791088761 or email barry@citychurch.co.uk
