Football chairman appeals to Norfolk churches

NCFL13U14a4502013: Norfolk Christian Football League chairman, Michael Culwick, has issued an appeal churches across the county to look at the possibility of getting involved with the Christian youth leagues especially in North Norfolk or Norwich.

“As another great season ends for our league we are already planning for the next. We are hoping to link up with youth clubs and schools in North Norfolk and link them with the existing North Norfolk U10 league operating from Sheringham.

“The league has strong Christian values and its purpose remains the same, to share the Christian faith through football. ‘Linking churches with their communities’ is our mission statement and we would call upon all churches in Norfolk to look again at the possibility of starting their own football team. The other option is to link up with an existing football club which wants to continue playing Saturday football, as there are several who are being faced with a move to Sunday football with their U10 teams and do not want to, as some of their players attend churches.

“We are here to help you with that. The potential for witness in your parish/community is huge. Please contact the secretary, look on the league website and take that step of faith through football,” said Michael.
