Gorleston Church to host Night Life youth event

St Mary Magdalene Church in Gorleston will be hosting a youth event next month as part of the Life ’22 mission which will see churches from across Norfolk working together.

Night Life will take place at the Magdalene Estate church, making use of the church building, church hall and garden, and is for young people in school year 6 and above.

The event, which will run from 7pm to 9pm, is on Friday March 25 and will include a football cage, inflatable rodeo bull and other games as well as a cafe area with refreshments and tuck. It will also include a talk from guest speaker, Nate Morgan-Locke, on the subject of Finding Life that Lasts. It is free to attend.

Rev Matthew Price, Vicar of St Mary Magdalene Church, said, “we are delighted to be working with other churches on the Life ’22 mission and excited about the opportunity of our event, Night Life.  We have capacity for up to 100 young people and, as well as young people from our own parish, we are expecting folk to join us from Norwich, Lowestoft, Beccles and Cromer. We are praying that it will be a really fun evening and that it will give young people to reflect on the life in all its fullness which Jesus promises to bring.”

Commenting on Life ’22, Nate said, “I am thrilled to be able to come up and join you in Gorleston to share the story of the life of Jesus in a variety of events. I am hoping it will be great.  We are praying as a team that the events will be well attended and that they will go well…. I can’t wait to join you.”
