YMCA Norfolk needs a HR Officer (Maternity Cover), based in Norwich.

Position: HR Officer (Maternity Cover)
Pay: £11.11 per hour (Grade D – £ 21,664.50 per annum pro rata)
Location: YMCA Norfolk Offices, Aylsham Road
Contract Type: Fixed term until 31st July 2023 with the potential to extend
Hours per week: 30 – 37.5 hours per week
Preferred start date – mid January 2023
We are looking for an experienced HR Officer to join our HR team at YMCA Norfolk to support the team during a period of Maternity leave cover.
Job Role: 
  • To provide support to the HR Manager in ensuring the smooth running of all aspects of the HR function, including responding to general HR queries.
  • The role is a key appointment within the team, supporting the HR Manager to deliver across the full range of HR responsibilities dependent on the needs of the team and wider organisation at any given time. The postholder will work closely with other HR colleagues delivering learning & development, payroll and recruitment activities.

What you’ll need to succeed:
You will be a CIPD level 3 qualified (or working towards) HR professional with a proven record of provision of sound advice across a range of HR issues, with a demonstrable understanding and up to date knowledge of employment law. You will have experience of working in a busy administrative environment with the ability to prioritise a large and varied workload in a time pressured setting.
