Use the Norwich Passion Play video this Easter in your church, life group, school

The team behind the Norwich Passion Play have produced a set of resources to enable churches, life groups, schools and youth groups to use a free 13-minute video of the play in the run-up to this Easter.

Do you remember the Norwich Passion Play which took over part of the city centre last Easter with a dramatic production of the final few days of Jesus life, or did you miss it first time round?

Either way you can watch the most dramatic moments this Easter too, in your church, school, life group or your living room, on your smart phone, laptop or TV screen.

Do you remember Mary Magdalene jumping up and down on a plinth on Hay Hill in Norwich – drawing an expectant crowd, Jesus riding on a bike up to Millennium Plain where he confronted the authorities and shared a fish and chip last supper with his disciples.  The agonies of the Garden of Gethsemane and Jesus’ dramatic trial in front of the Forum and his crucifixion and death outside St Peter Mancroft Church. And the final joyous scenes inside St Petr Mancroft where the disbelieving disciples saw Jesus come back from the dead in an amazing finale.

The team from Celebrate Norfolk, who were behind the Norwich Passion Play, have released a short 13-minute video of the drama on YouTube, capturing all the key moments and it is available free to use for churches, schools, life groups, youth groups and in the comfort of your own home.

It comes along with resource sheets explaining the background to the play and suggesting some questions to discuss in small groups to get you thinking.

Here are links to the resources freely available.
