Urban Garden ProjectChristian urban garden project asks for help

Building on its community initiatives, new vision and working to develop its intergenerational work Christian youth project ENYP is expanding its urban garden project and is looking for some help.

Nikki, from ENYP, says “Whether you have a history of being ‘green-fingered’, a love for the outdoors, or a desire to support charitable initiatives we’re looking for people to volunteer to be part of our project and donations of a range of garden items to help get us started.”

ENYP’s Urban Garden Project is designed for older people to share their knowledge about plants, gardening techniques, and cultural traditions with younger generations. ENYP is also working with the local Council and residents to set up a second project too recognising that these spaces are a vital part of community living and support.

Lucie Fox from ENYP said; “Intergenerational gardening is not only about passing down cultural traditions but also comes with numerous advantages, including, environmental sustainability, opportunities to explore and develop skills, improvement in physical and mental wellbeing, building community and helping to grow produce to tackle food insecurity.”

If you are passionate about this or you’d like to explore getting involved further then please get in touch!”

ENYPENYP is also looking for a range of items to help get the project started, and any donations would be gratefully received:
