TimeNorfolk we support men and women who have experienced any kind of pregnancy loss and for the last three years we have held a Doorway of Hope service at Norwich Cathedral which we have found to be incredibly helpful in the healing process after a loss.

Many people who have suffered this type of loss feel they haven't had the opportunity to say goodbye and the Doorway of Hope service enables them to do that.

This year the service is being held on Thursday 17th October at 7.30pm.

Please join us for a service of remembrance for all who have lost a little one, however long ago. You are very welcome to come on your own or to bring friends and family.

It's a beautiful service where there will be an opportunity to light a candle and write a message in TimeNorfolk’s book of remembrance as we remember our lost little ones.

Tea's and coffee's will be served after the service and a member of the TimeNorfolk team will be available to anyone affected by the loss of a baby.

Professor Patricia Casey discusses The Interface between Psychiatry and the Christian Faith.  The study of the relationship between mental health and faith has been gathering pace in recent years. The positive news about this receives little coverage in the general media although within medical circles there are several journals devoted to this area of research. Yet psychiatrists tend, at best, to be neutral or indifferent to this link and some are frankly hostile to any view that religion may be beneficial. This talk will explore the evidence that faith is beneficial to mental health and how this might come about. The possibility that it is harmful will also be explored.

E-mail the following details of your event to Network Norfolk Events: Date, event title, what it involves, start and end time, location (if you include a postcode we can attach an e-map to your entry), contact name and tel no for more details. The details must be received at least two weeks before the event.

Do you appreciate our service and stories?

The Network Norwich & Norfolk website has been published for over 13 years now and we have an established team of professional journalists covering the activities, organisations and churches which make up the county’s Christian community. Our whole purpose is to support that community by daily providing accurate, unbiased stories and features.

To pay for that service, we rely on our partner organisations, advertisers and readers to, in turn, support us financially. We want to keep the website free for everyone to access and continue to be able to pay for writers to produce the content you can enjoy every day.

We would like to ask you to consider supporting our work and suggest you might want to make a small regular donation of just £1 a week and become one of our 100 Friends, or a larger one-off or annual amount.

Because we are part of a registered charity we can reclaim Gift Aid on your donations if you are a tax-payer.
