Mile Cross Salvation Army celebrates its 40th

The Luncheon Club of the Mile Cross Salvation Army, Norwich, celebrated its 40th anniversary in style at the end of February.

Those attending were invited to wear red (to reflect that 40 is ruby) and the hall was decorated with red balloons and everyone enjoyed a good old singalong before food was served.

Around 40 people were present, including Majors Colin and Rosemary Cowdery, who started the Club in 1984, and past organisers, including Major Kath Grimshaw.

The dinner was pea soup, roast beef with all the trimmings and trifle.  This was followed by tea, coffee or hot chocolate, and Birthday cake.

Thanks were given to community organiser Peter Jeffrey's and Commanding Officer Major Susan Robinson.
