New-look team and dates for Norwich FGB branch 

The Norwich FGB branch has a new-look team and a new set of dinner dates announced for the rest of the year.

Chris Brown is the new President and Ivor Boulton is continuing as Treasurer. Chris said: “Kit Brinkley is also part of the team helping with communications and other members will step forward at the events or give help where they can. The Network Norfolk team also help with our website, enews bulletin and Facebook and X/Twitter pages.”
 
A series of evening dinners have also been announced, starting in April, all to be held at the usual branch venue which is the City Suite, Mercure Hotel, Boundary Road, Norwich NR3 2BA, starting at 7pm for 7.30pm.
 
“We are hoping to recruit some more volunteers in the next few months and hope to be able to hold more dinners next year,” said Chris.
 
Dates for the Diary
 
Thursday April 18: Menu - roast pork loin, sea salt crackling and apple sauce followed by chocolate and cherry delice.
 
Wednesday June 19: Menu - Prosciutto wrapped chicken breast, mushroom and tarragon sauce followed by strawberry and prosecco torte, Chantilly cream.  
 
Thursday September 12: Menu – slow-cooked brisket of beef, local ale, caramelised onion gravy followed by glazed lemon tart, raspberry and mint compote.
 
Wednesday December 11: Menu - roast turkey Christmas lunch.
 
All main courses will include chef's selection of vegetables and potatoes.  Two-course meal followed by coffee/tea at £18 per head.  Booking and speaker details will follow soon.
