Mulbarton church team wants football manager

St Mary's Church in Mulbarton is teaming up with the well-established Mulbarton Wanderers Football Club to form an "A" team to play in the Norfolk Christian Football League next season and they are looking for a team manager.

Calum Burke, who helps manage the existing Mulbarton Wanderers Reserves team, said: "I am hoping to get a team registered for the upcoming 24/25 season in the Christian league. I’m currently recruiting for a manager to run a team in union with St Mary's church. This "A" team will fall part of the adults section for the football club and have the support of Mulbarton Reserves who play on a Saturday afternoon in the Anglian Combination.

“The "A" team will provide youth players experience at adult football as well as offering local players from a background of faith the opportunity to play football from a competitive or social aspect."
League secretary Paul Nice said: “We, as a league, are looking to grow the number of teams involved with the Norfolk Christian football community and would welcome the involvement of Mulbarton St Mary's.  It is great that they already have a link to both a church and a local football club.  It is very much our vision to see football and faith linking together in community.”
