Join Spurgeons domestic abuse team in Norwich

Spurgeons is offering the opportunity for two people to join its growing Norwich-based team responding to domestic abuse  as a Behaviour Change Practitioner and a Community Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA).

Spurgeons is one of the UK's leading children's charities, firmly supported by Christian beliefs and values, helping to support disadvantaged children and their families through delivering projects to support children, young people, their families and communities to find long-lasting solutions to the challenges they face.

We are passionate about the work we do and need equally committed members on our team to help us achieve those goals.

Every survivor of domestic abuse, and their family, deserves the right response at the right time, to make them safe, sooner. That's why we're delivering new interventions and ways of working that fill the gaps in the response to domestic abuse, on behalf of SafeLives and the Norfolk County Community Safety Partnership.

We now have the opportunity for someone to join our growing team as Behaviour Change Practitioner and a Community Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA)

Behaviour Change Practitioner

As one of our Behavioural Change Practitioners, you will have  experience of working with offenders or people exhibiting difficult and challenging behaviour. Successful applications will demonstrate an ability to engage perpetrators of domestic abuse and manage a diverse case load.

Community Independent Domestic Violence Adviser (IDVA)

As one of our Community IDVAs, you will have  experience of delivering domestic abuse interventions and managing a diverse case load. You will be passionate and proactive about meeting the needs of individuals and families, doing so with compassion, tenacity, and hope for their futures with a strong commitment to ensuring their safety.

These posts are funded by Norfolk County Community Safety Partnership, Big Lottery Fund Women and Girls Initiative, The Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, The Peter Cundill Foundation and The Aurum Charitable Trust as part of the delivery model for Norwich, on behalf of SafeLives.
Both roles are 37 hours per week, initially on a fixed term contract until June 2021.

Salary is £21,589 – £25,801 pro rata and depending upon experience.

Closing date 25th February 2020
